Cardiac Science Powerheart G5 semi-automatic
The Cardiac Science Powerheart G5 semi-automatic AED is a robust and user-friendly defibrillator. The resuscitation feedback makes the AED suitable for both professionals and laymen. By pressing a button you open the AED, then it starts up immediately. The electrodes are behind the flap, the standard supplied electrodes are for use on adults. The electrodes for child resuscitation are not supplied as standard.
The resuscitation feedback of the powerheart G5 is a good tool to make resuscitation successful. The CPR gives feedback about the depth and rhythm of the chest compressions, which allows the rescuer to possibly improve his resuscitation. Furthermore, the AED gives spoken instructions which are supported by images on the LCD screen and the device has a metronome.
The Cardiac Science G5 AED has the additional function that the AED gradually adjusts the energy level. It also assesses the therapy requirement and thus offers a customized shock with the correct energy level. The Rescue Ready indicator indicates whether the AED is ready for use, this can be clearly seen from a distance. In addition, the AED checks all important elements daily, weekly and monthly for any malfunctions, this data can be easily and quickly transferred and viewed via USB.
